Introduction
The context of the program's training is international in scope, promoting collaborations between Europe and Latin America, contributing to the construction of the Ibero-American Education Space. The program will also promote training in research management, with special emphasis on applied research projects and development cooperation. Description: The International Doctoral Program in «Agriculture and Environment» provides students with advanced methodological tools for both basic and applied research. As a result of an agreement between the participating universities, these studies lead to obtaining the official title of Joint Doctor issued by the USC and the USAC, and which, therefore, is fully valid in the EU and Central America. The title constitutes the title of greatest academic success within our educational system. It is an interuniversity program, shared by specialists from different disciplines, who have extensive and recognized research activity. The participation of directors from different countries provides a global training.
Presentation
The main objective of this doctoral program is the training of researchers with a solid scientific base in aspects related to agriculture, the environment, biodiversity, land uses and natural resources, environmental risks, etc., in the Ibero-American context. Qualified preparation in inventory, analysis and management methods and techniques will provide solutions to the challenges of sustainable management and production of territories with agricultural, forestry and conservation vocation, at the same time that they will contribute to the prevention of natural disasters.
