The Loyola Institute at Trinity College Dublin offers research scholars an excellent educational experience. Central to the Loyola Institute's research culture is the Research Seminars, which meet regularly during term time. At these seminars, academics from Trinity College and guests present their work, followed by discussion. Research students also get an opportunity to present at these seminars. The PhD is normally a four-year course of full-time study, culminating in a dissertation based on original research on a focused topic. It is also possible to pursue the degree part-time over five years.
