DBA Frankfurt & Online DBA
In cooperation with the iaelyon School of Management at Jean Moulin III University , the Business Science Institute offers an application-oriented doctoral program that is geared to the needs of business. The Doctor of Business Administration is specifically designed for executives who want to perfect and develop knowledge and skills in the field of business administration through practice-oriented research work . The Business Science Institute currently offers two German language programs: DBA Frankfurt & Online DBA.
The program is aimed at specialists and executives with an MBA/Master or an equivalent degree and at least 5 years of qualified professional experience . Employment is a mandatory admission requirement.
The "Doctorate in Business Administration" degree is awarded by iaelyon School of Management at the University of Jean Moulin III , France.
Program overview DBA Frankfurt:
- Start: September
- Language: German
- Format: Extra-occupational, part-time
- Duration: 3-phase program (3-4 years)
- Admission: Master and at least 5 years qualified professional experience
Program overview online DBA:
- Start: no registration deadline, start is possible at any time
- Language: German
- Format: Online + 2 compulsory seminars in Luxembourg (1x at the end of the first year & 1x at the end of the third year)
- Duration: 3-phase program (3-4 years)
- Admission: Master's degree (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of qualified professional experience
Costs: €25,000 (payment in installments possible)
- One-time processing fee of 150 € is due with the application.
- Costs for travel, accommodation and meals are not included in the cost.

Individual care
During the doctoral program, each doctoral student is assigned a doctoral supervisor.
Due to the international expert network of the Business Science Institute partner universities, a large selection of qualified professors is offered.
Of course, we will provide you with a supervisor who specializes in your research topic. So you can benefit from individual support.
Preliminary schedule (for DBA Frankfurt)
The first five seminars of the program each take place over three days (approx. one weekend every two months)
1st phase (5 x 3-day face-to-face seminars in Luxembourg & Frankfurt)
Development of a research proposal with advisory support from professors.
- Seminar 1: Introductory seminar - structure and development of the DBA thesis (September in Luxembourg)
- Seminar 2: Topic I (November in Frankfurt)
- Seminar 3: Topic II (January in Frankfurt)
- Seminar 4: Qualitative methods in management (March in Frankfurt)
- Seminar 5: Quantitative Methods (May in Frankfurt)
At the end of the first year, after the successful presentation of their preliminary research project, the doctoral students receive the Certificate of Research for successfully conducted research work from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and the Business Science Institute (BSI).
2nd phase (International Week in Luxembourg and 4 x 1-day follow-up seminars)
- Follow-up seminar 1 and "Certificate of Research" (end of September in Luxembourg)
- Follow-up seminar 2 (January in Frankfurt)
- Follow-up seminar 3 (February/March in Frankfurt)
- Follow-up seminar 4 (September in Wiltz Luxembourg)
Processing of the doctoral topic with intensive supervision by a supervisor from Business Science Institute .
3rd phase submission of the doctoral thesis - defense
- Follow-up seminar 5 (March/April in Frankfurt)
- Defense (end of September in Luxembourg)
After successfully defending your doctoral thesis, you will receive the doctorate "Doctor of Business Administration" from iaelyon University Jean Moulin 3 and additionally the title "Executive Doctor of Business Administration" from Business Science Institute .
