6 PhD Programs in Biomedical Science 2024

The Teaching Division of Biomedical Sciences offers a wide range of specialization tracks, combining research and studies in medical and life sciences with emphasis on understanding the functioning of the human body in situations of health and disease. The program prepares its graduates for teaching and research positions in academic institutions, and research and works in knowledge-intensive industries, hospitals, and healthcare systems.

The PhD in Translational Medicine is a three-year Programme. The Mission of Pro- gram is to educate and train post-gradua- te students with different academic backgrounds and highly motivated to pursue a career in experimental biomedicine and/or clinical research.

Initiated about 20 years ago, the PhD Program in Biomedical Sciences is an interdisciplinary graduate program, providing rigorous training in modern cell and molecular biology. The departmental faculty provides a highly interdisciplinary and intensely collaborative training environment.

Biomedical Engineering is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to biology and medicine for advanced healthcare in diagnostics, monitoring, and therapy. Bioscience and Biomedical Engineering are strongly interdisciplinary which involve Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, IT and Computer Science.

The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Biomedical Sciences is designed to provide the student with sufficient knowledge, research skills, and competency in a wide variety of areas that will prepare him/her for a career in Biomedical Sciences research, academia, and leadership. The program embraces both coursework as well as original research work completion. The combination of unique courses will cover several Biomedical Sciences topics, bio-statistics, and research methodology.
